Self-Esteem & Perfectionism Counselling

“ You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. ”

Buddha

Do you struggle with confidence and self-doubt?

In adulthood, any demoralizing life experience can reduce our self-esteem. Being passed over for a promotion, going through a breakup, not being invited to a social event, and other life changes can cause fear or self-doubt. These feelings can affect your self-worth, confidence, and resilience. Once these factors are compromised, any person may be more prone to developing negative beliefs and self-talk patterns that impact their overall well-being.

Our self-esteem draws upon the beliefs we have about ourselves. When we are struggling with our confidence, we start to feel shame and self-doubt. It’s easy for this self-doubt to lead to comparison… we judge ourselves inferior to others and start spending a lot of time criticizing our faults and weaknesses. People can cope with low self-esteem in different ways but if left unattended the cycle of self-criticism can drain away a person’s joy in life…manifesting into several mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and imposter syndrome. But… it doesn’t have to be that way.

Our counsellors are trained to help you get to the heart of your self-criticism.

Over time, negative thoughts can become so frequent that you see them as facts. When left on a loop, this thought process can be very damaging.

But, we can help you to deal with those feelings of anger, guilt, or sadness that are keeping you from reaching your potential.

We’ll help you rediscover yourself and give you the tools and support you need to regain your confidence and quell your negative self-talk.

You deserve and owe it to yourself to live the life you want.

We promise to nurture a space where you feel safe and valued - as you are - so you can explore what you want from your future with no judgment or fear of failure.

We view counselling as a joint process between you and your counsellor as we work towards a common goal — to empower positive change and improve the quality of your life — both now and in the future.

As mental health care professionals, our purpose is to help you identify your obstacles that are causing anxiety. We promise to serve as your guide, helping you find your path and discover opportunities for growth along the way.

We will look at your current situation more in-depth to help you understand what’s holding you back and what’s causing you to feel so overwhelmed. From there we will get to the heart of your difficulties, make a plan, and help you develop the skills you need so you can better manage or resolve what’s troubling you.

Our goal is that by the end of our sessions you will not only have found relief, but you will feel empowered to boldly grow forward towards the life you want.

Or, let us help you find that right therapist fit.

The form takes less than 60 seconds to complete, and we’ll reach out with a couple of options for a free 20 minute consultation.
