Modern Dating Workshop

If you are a woman who wants to learn how to navigate today’s online dating world without losing your heart and mind… we’re here to help.

Raise your hands ladies… who here finds dating stressful and overwhelming?

Are you tired of being ghosted or orbited? Tired of unpleasant and uncomfortable experiences while online dating? Tired of being single and feeling discouraged, sad, or anxious about dating? Is your self-esteem constantly taking a hit?

Or, are you in a relationship after being single for some time and feeling anxious? Need to work on setting healthy boundaries and being more assertive? Do you even know what your wants and needs are in a relationship?

It’s time for a girls’ weekend.

The stress of modern dating is real. Whether you're single, looking for a connection, or committed to finding a partner... love in a digital world presents a unique set of challenges.

When the pandemic hit, physical distancing measures and lockdowns limited our opportunities for in-person interaction and forced many of us to rely on virtual communication. Dating apps and social media became the sole "safe" spaces to make connections. As a consequence - of dating apps and social media - we've seen unrealistic expectations contribute to heightened stress and anxiety levels. The pressure to present a curated, idealized version of oneself, has made it difficult for individuals to open up and form authentic connections with others.

Combined with the fast-paced, technologically-driven and uncertain world we live in, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and exhausted, making it harder to focus on forming relationships while prioritizing our mental health. Despite these challenges, it's important to remember that healthy and fulfilling relationships are possible.

This is a workshop designed specifically for women (ages 21 to 40) who are looking for a safe space to reflect, explore and learn how to navigate today’s dating world with confidence. Facilitated by Olivia Morano, a Registered Psychotherapist from The Dot team, this workshop takes a therapeutic approach towards identifying what is holding you back from connecting with someone you can build a healthy relationship with.

What to expect…

Dating can be scary and stressful, but when we take the time to reflect on our needs, heal from our past experiences, and explore the small changes we can begin to make in the way we think and communicate, we can learn to embrace it with confidence and excitement.

We will go over topics that will focus on specific aspects of the dating experience. We will be building on what has been shared and learned topic by topic. By the end of this workshop, you should feel empowered to continue your dating journey and see it as an opportunity for healthy personal growth.

It’s also important to connect with others who get it. Being able to make connections with other women who feel the same way, can help normalize your experiences. As well as learning more about modern dating and how to cope, we hope this workshop facilitates making connections with others in a similar situation.
